Membership

The URGQ welcomes new members.  Joining is easy :

1.  Complete Membership form (available from club house)
2.  Provide copy of your diving qualifications
3.  Attend monthly Club Meeting to be voted in
4.  Now you are ready to go diving

Membership Categories

1.  Full membership - $20 joining fee and $80 per year
2.  Social Member - non divers - $20 joining fee and $30.00 per year

Membership year - 1 August - 31 July

Fees

Maintenance fee for dives on 'Diver 1' are :

Prepurchased    $20.00 each
On the Day       $25.00 each

Tickets are available from the Dive Captain - Deb Aston

Fuel costs are shared by all divers on the day and averages at approx $25-$30 for a day trip to Moreton Island.  A two dive trip to Moreton Island will cost 2 x dive tickets and fuel - approx $65.00.

On Club weekend trips fuel costs are paid for by the Club so dives on 'Diver 1' costs only the price of a dive ticket.

Airfills are available at the club house and a compressor maintenance fee of $5.00 is payable.  Airfill tickets are available at $45.00 for 10 fills.  All tanks must be in test.

Club tanks - URGQ has 6 club tanks which can be hired for a donation of $10.00 each including the air fill.

All other dive gear must be supplied by the club member.

Diving

Monthly weekends away are organised for the last weekend of every month - click here for the calendar Dive Calendar

Day Trips are organised on a weekly basis and posted on the noticeboard on a Wednesday night or can be arranged by contacting the Dive Captain.  You can dive every weekend on 'Diver 1' if you are that keen - no long waits for the chance to dive.

An authorised Boat Driver is required to be present in the boat at all times.  To become authorised requires a boat licence, at least 10 hours experience driving the boat under supervision and completion of an exam that can be obtained from the Boat Captain.
