The URGQ Curtin Artificial Reef has been established
by the Underwater Research Group of Queensland (URGQ) with assistance
of the barge and tug companies, the Queensland Department of Transport
and the Armed Services.

The Curtin Artificial Reef
lays 60 metres either side of a line joining points of Latitude S27º06'07",
Longitude E153º21'00" in the Yule Roads Bulwer wrecks area of Moreton
Bay with the northernmost part 625 metres due east of the (unmaintained)
Northern Measured mile Beacon, Cowan Cowan, Moreton Island.
