Diver 1 is a non- displacing mono hull and is best described as a rigid inflatable boat. Her rigid hull is fabricated from aluminium which is much lighter than glass reinforced plastic or steel and has a strength advantage over timber vessels of a similar size.

Air pontoons are formed as gunwales, they provide most of Diver 1's buoyancy. The removable canopy contains a series of overhead nets for the safe storage of dry gear. A ladder is installed on the transom for easy water exits.

Diver 1 is powered by a 115 HP, two stroke Yamaha outboard engine whichruns on unleaded fuel and is equipped with an oil injection system that calculates and adds the correct ratio of oil for the running conditions.

As standard, Diver 1 carries up to a total of 150 litres of fuel which has a fully loaded fuel economy of around one litre per kilometre, so cruising for long periods is not an issue.

Diver 1 can readily be launched from the beach or a boat ramp.

For safety reasons, all tanks are strapped in during travel.
